Our goal is to showcase the outstanding fresh, vibrant fruit characters for which Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is world-renowned while also reflecting the individual character of the terroir of our vineyard and the craft of the winemaker in a way that adds distinctiveness and intrigue to the wine.
Winemaking notes
Only the very best quality fruit from our top performing vineyard blocks is selected to make this wine. The yield per hectare is kept low and the vines receive extensive care by hand. The fruit is fermented slowly in a cooled environment to maintain the lively varietal character. 10% of the wine is allowed to rest on the yeast lees for four months in older French barriques to enhance texture and complexity. The final blend comprises 100% Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Description
This vivacious wine boasts lively aromas of passionfruit, melon, fresh lemon and crisp red capsicum. Ripe honey dew melon and passionfruit flavours provide richness and weight balanced by the zesty lemon backbone and crisp acidity which provide flavour persistence and a long, clean finish.
